National Bank of Wibaux Stickered Silver Dollar

About:
This coin reads “THE FIRST NATIONAL BANK ON WIBAUX 60TH ANNIVERSARY 1906-1966” The sticker has a black background with gold lettering. This sticker is on an Elizabeth II silver dollar.

History:
The First National Bank Of Wibaux in Wibaux county Montana has an interesting history, which makes this coin very desirable. From 1906 to 1935 the First National Bank of Wibaux printed over $180,000 of U.S. currency. While a small amount overall this bank has a place in U.S. history of being a National Bank that printed currency. What makes this coin so unique is that they chose Canadian currency to advertise their 60 year anniversary. With further research we might be able to find out why this was done. Very few of these coins exist. This is the only one that I am aware of. There could be others in circulation, but I have not seen any in coin shows or online auctions.

Note: The above sticker is in excellent condition. When viewed at an angle the gold lettering and black background are clear and crisp. The high gloss finish of the sticker picked up a reflection from the flash.

This stickered coin contains a gold sticker with maroon lettering reads “Where dollar Values Are the Biggest B.P.O.E. NO. 214 Great Falls MONT.” The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks(B.P.O.E.) #214 still exists today in Grand Falls Montana. This coins is rather rare but lack the subject matter to make it overall valuable. This coin would appeal to collectors that like unique stickered coins.

History:
I do not know much about this coin, but I think it is from the late 50’s. It was most likely created as an advertisement piece for a fund raising bazaar or fair put on by the Elks.
