Souvenir Of Massadona Colo Silver Dollar

About:
This coin is pretty rare as I have only seen this one coin. The banner sticker for this coin is the common banner, but contains a rather unique landmark. While I would much prefer to have a perfect sticker, this coin in my eyes is highly collectable.

History:
I would love to know the history of this coin. I’ve done some research on the town of Massadona and I don’t believe the town currently exists. The closest town from Massadona is Dinosaur Co, which is about 20 miles away. I think that back during the 1950s there might have been a gas station/camp ground that might have created these coins as a way to advertise.

Souvenir Of Calico Ghost Town Peace Dollar

About:
These stickered dollars are one of the most common dollars that can be found. The sticker contains the common banner with the words “Souvenir of Calico Ghost Town”. This is a coin that most every stickered dollar collector will have in their collection. When purchasing this coin make sure the sticker is in excellent condition.

History:
During the late 1880s the town of Calico was surrounded by more than 500 silver mines and produced over $20 million in silver ore. Town was abandoned after the price of silver plummeted and Calico became a ghost town. During the 1950s the deserted town was purchased and restored by Walter Knott. Calico Ghost town is still open and is located in California.
These stickered dollars were sold in the gift shop as a souvenir.

Powder House Lodge Sticker

About:
This coin is interesting because it contains a unique banner which is unlike most banner stickers you will find. This sticker has wedged ends on the red portion of the banner vs. the very common straight edged banner. Also the waving pattern on this sticker is more desirable because the banner ripple is convex vs. the very typical concave pattern with most banner stickers.

History:
The Powder House Lodge was established in 1948 and is still in operation today. This sticker was most likely from the 1950s. The lodge is actually located just north of Keystone in the Black Hills of South Dakota. It is most likely that these coins were either sold in the gift shop or were given as change in the Powder House restaurant located at the lodge.

Bob’Bin-Inn Pizza Stickered Peace Dollar

About:
This coin is in great condition, but the sticker is showing some wear. It is common for peace dollars to first wear, where the wings meet the body of the bird…. at the shoulders of the bird.

History:
Bob’Bin-Inn was a restaurants and possibly a hotel located on Melrose Ave. in Hollywood. They also had a restaurant that opened at 6:00 am and severed pizza. They have since closed. There is now an Asian Glass shop, internet cafe, and Melrose cafe located in the building that once housed the Bob’bin-inn.
